Michelle Buck: Rooted in Reno, Dedicated to Service

Where Service Meets Lasting Relationships
Michelle Buck — Vice President & Loan Servicing Officer | Reno
Some careers are built on experience. Others are built on trust. Michelle Buck has spent nearly two decades building both.
Since joining NSDC in 2006, Michelle has been a valued part of the Reno team, known for her consistency, care, and strong understanding of the SBA program.
As a Vice President and Loan Servicing Officer, she enjoys building lasting relationships with partners and clients while supporting Nevada’s small business community.
She also works closely with borrowers on day-to-day servicing needs, including updating contact information, changing automatic payment details, providing payoff calculations, and answering general loan questions.
A graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, Michelle has called the Reno area home for more than 40 years. Outside of work, family is at the center of her life. She has been married for 37 years, is a proud parent of two, and a loving grandparent of two. She enjoys spending time with her family and getting outdoors whenever she can.
For Michelle, Reno is more than just where she works — it’s where she’s built her career, raised her family, and formed lasting connections in the community.

Sandy Gordon of NSDC and Elizabeth Rayburn of Creative World share how strong lending partnerships support long-term stability for Reno families.
Creative World Children’s Academy was recently featured by KOLO 8 News for securing ownership of its Reno preschool facility through a $2.33 million project. The purchase marks an important step for owners Elizabeth and Jeremy Rayburn, helping ensure the academy can continue providing early childhood education and stability for Reno families for years to come.
With financing facilitated through Nevada State Development Corporation in partnership with Western Alliance Bank, the project reflects the impact of SBA 504 lending at work: supporting local ownership, strengthening community-based businesses, and helping small business owners invest in their future. Watch the full news feature below to hear from NSDC’s Sandy Gordon and Creative World’s Elizabeth Rayburn on how this partnership came together.
