Nevada State Development Corporation (NSDC) partnered with Heritage Bank of Nevada to assist with an SBA 504 loan for Dynamic Diesel, Inc., allowing owners Kevin and Malinda Campbell to purchase a space more than twice the size of the facility they had been renting.
In 2006, the Campbells founded Dynamic Diesel, which offers full-service repairs for light- to medium-duty gasoline and diesel pick-ups and trucks. While continually outgrowing their leased facilities and looking for a more secure space with ample parking, the Campbells decided to explore purchasing their own building.
“We were spending more than $40,000 a year in man-hours just moving vehicles in and out because we didn’t have enough operating room. Now we have the space, enough parking, and have the security of a fence around our property,” said Malinda Campbell.
Dynamic Diesel’s new facility at 2080 E. Greg St. in Sparks, Nevada is 27,000 square feet on almost two acres of land. Campbell also noted that their previous facility was only 10,000 square feet and in a far less visible location, making attracting new clients a bigger challenge.
“We now have a storefront location with much better visibility, where 10,000 people a day pass by us,” said Malinda. “The move has helped our business expand so significantly that we’ve been able to hire three more Nevadans since May!”
The Campbells worked with loan officers Greg McKay with Nevada State Development Corporation (NSDC) for the SBA 504 loan and Barry Collier at Heritage Bank of Nevada.
“The process is much different than securing a car or home loan,” Campbell said. “We couldn’t have done it without the tremendous help of NSDC and Heritage Bank. We were so fortunate to have really great people on our team guiding us through the process.”
Dynamic Diesel serves clients in Reno/Sparks, Fernley, Fallon, Yerington and Smith Valley, Nevada. The company also has client bases in Truckee, Portola, Quincy and Tahoe, California.
